Self-Hire Punts
Punt yourself on the River Cam
We hire punts by the hour, and then every quarter hour thereafter. A pole, paddle and cushions are provided as standard.
Life jackets are available on request.
Some people learn to punt very quickly, but others don't. If you haven't punted before, our staff are always ready to offer punting tips and demonstrations.
The maximum capacity of a self-hire punt is six people including punter (as required by law).
Punts are charged at £32 per hour, and per quarter hour thereafter. Discounts available for all day hire, large student groups and local residents.
We have 20 self hire punts available for hire. Self hire punts can be hired on arrival, you only need to book in advance if you have a large group and require a number of boats or are coming in the early morning or late evening. We don't take bookings at busy times of the year at weekends during the afternoons, we work on a first come first serve basis.
